The terroir
In the heart of L'Albagés, our vineyards extend over stony, calcareous soils, subject to an extreme continental Mediterranean climate. Hot days and cool nights give our grapes a slow and balanced ripening.
The combination of Garnacha, Syrah, and Cariñena reflects our commitment to varieties that faithfully express the unique character of this land in southern Lleida.
Each bottle of Algés 2019 is the result of environmentally friendly viticulture and careful vinification that seeks to preserve the essence of our terroir.
Tasting notes
On the palate, Alges is concentrated and powerful, yet round and gentle. Its bouquet of red fruit jam, spices, and delicate smoky notes stands out over a mineral background.
The mouthfeel is silky, with a persistent and flavorful finish. A truly gastronomic wine, perfect with lamb and, more generally, with medium-intensity white or red meats, as well as creamy cow’s cheeses.
