Its name, Alges, directly connects to the region, as it is a contraction of L'Albagés, the name of the village where the vineyard is located. The extreme climatic conditions and low yields of this area are reflected in the wine, which displays an intense ruby-red color, subtle aromas of ripe fruit, and elegant notes of oak. On the palate, Alges is concentrated and powerful, yet round and smooth. It boasts a notable bouquet of red fruit jam, spices, and smoky notes, all resting on a mineral background. Its texture is silky, with a persistent and flavorful finish. Truly gourmand, it pairs wonderfully with lamb and, in general, all types of medium-intensity white and red meats, as well as creamy cow’s milk cheeses.
